Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

I have no rhyme or reason to this post (or any of my posts for that matter). Sooooo...

The teams I am/was rooting for in the Stanley Cup playoffs (in Spanglish):

Blackhawks de Chicago (this team = ♥... my main team right now)
Canadiens de Montreal (now out... but lets not shit ourselves, we knew it wasn't gonna happen)
Capitals de Washington (hurry up and win this series, m'dearies.)
Hurricanes de Carolina (i can haz drayson bowman in a suit?)
Penguins de Pittsburgh
Canucks de Vancouver

Yaaaaaaaay NHL ploffs!

Random Rant:

Dear people of the male persuasion (well, no one in particular, just some),

Get over yourselves. I may think you're cute/hot/somewhat attractive/tolerable, but honestly, it doesn't mean shit. Doesn't mean I wanna screw your brains out, bear your future children, or even hang out with you and your bloated ego. Personality is the deal-breaker, behbehs. Weird, huh?

Random Rave:

I had a pint of gin and a pint of Malibu and didn't even know it! HALLELUJAH!

Let's be giddy little bitches!

Yours truly has decided to begin the countdown to NYC.

24 DAYS!

But, in the department of Debbie Downer, I'm having hockey withdrawls. Yes, I do realize the NHL ploffs are goin' on, which is great 'cause I love it, but I'm having my AMS withdrawls. :( Most of the Hockey Friends got together last night for some sweet ass Fiesta; love it1 It was much needed! It just felt weird because we weren't leaving for a game after dinner like we normally would. Gah, routine, you slay me. But still. It's Fiesta and Hockey Friends. That is full of win. In fact, it's overflowing with win.

This is my obligatory sappy, emotastic, end-of-season post.

I haven't updated this in a while, but nobody cares because nobody reads it so no loss there. Well, okay, I lied. One person does. WOOHOO! :D

I believe I left off with our April 4th win against Kelowna on home ice... it was sweet. Up 2-0 in the series; the games were intense. But, 8 days have passed since and a lot happened.

April 7th @ Kelowna- L
April 8th @ Kelowna- L
April 10th @ home- L

and tonight...

April 12th @ Kelowna- L. Americans eliminated, Kelowna goes on. :(

Too many injuries, too many guys missing, too much of everything. But, lets not make any excuses.

The last game for Procyshen, Reese, Fadden, and Pickard (amongst other players who may not be coming back... *sobs*). I was only listening to the game, but I was told by people who were watching that Chet was crying after coach pulled him out to put Martyniuk in the net. Talk about heartbreaking.

So, I'm gonna deliver with this whole emotastic blog deal... and here it goes:

First off- Taylor Procyshen. Not only a great player, but an awesome guy in general. Total inspiration. Great captain. I couldn't have asked for a better guy to lead this team.

Jason Reese- Helloooo, difference maker! He did so much for the team. Love watching him play. Brought a lot of experience to the team and knowing that he started out here as a Jr. AM is pretty awesome. Reese came full circle here and I'm so glad to have been able to witness it!

Mitch Fadden- Our ("Dave"'s) little (big) redheaded stallion. You have no idea how thankful I am we got this guy during that midseason trade business. Behbeh really did "get 'er done, eh." Insane. Another difference maker, fo' sho.

Chet Pickard- Whatta man, whatta man. Great goalie. I can't imagine what we would have done without him! He had a great career here in Tri. I'm so stoked to see him go on to the next level. We'll most definitely miss this one.

This was the first season I was able to really get into because I lived close enough to go to the games (I've followed the AMS for years though) and whatnot. This team has a lot of heart and a lot of talent. The n00bs like Behbeh Yuen, Shinny FTW4EVER, and Messier (those are just a few) give me a great feeling about next season. I'm fucking jacked about next season! And with our 19-year-olds, who knows? McColm, Toll, Lazo, Stoklasa, Plouffe... Personally, if I had it my way, we wouldn't lose any of 'em, but the Dub says "fuck off, you can only have 3." Ugh. :(

*So, hockey behbehs... I know none of you will ever read this, but it makes me feel better to write this all out... It was a great season. No lie. We are sooo proud of you guys! You guys did fantastic and it was awesome to be able to witness it. So here's to next year: whether you'll be back here in TC, playing with another team in the Dub, in the AHL, in the NHL, in another league I didn't mention, or just done and moving on to the next phase of your life.* You guys deserve all the cuppies and cookies in the world!

And Hockee Frendz, I'm so thankful to have met you all!! You made this season even better! I had a blast and laughed harder with you all than I have with other people. We can't let the end of the season be the end of us hanging out! :) Love you all!!!! ♥♥

In other awesomeness, the NHL ploffs are coming up! So my hockey obsession won't be too starved after tonight. :) And my browser is decked out in a Montreal Canadiens theme. 'Cause I'm fucking fabulous like that. haha

Things in list form.

1. PETR MOTHERFUCKIN' STOKLASA IS BAAAACK!!!!!!!! Need I say more?!

2. Where does the league find these refs? Seriously. They suck harder than my job on 4th and Lewis (jk! jk! Only if you know what I'm talkin' 'bout...) and I think they might need strong prescriptive lenses. Blind as fucking bats.

3. Um, dear Kelowna. I mean, Spokanistan. Er, I mean, Kelowna. I mean, FUCK. Yeah, Kelowna; that's it. Yeah, you goons are all the same. Fuck off.

4. Why must the idiots only come out to the ploff games? Seriously, fuck off. You can drink beer and yell stupid shit in the comfort/seculsion of your own little caves.

5. Mitch McColm needs to figure out this crotchal region dilemma he's got going on. I'm thinking he needs bigger shorts.

BTW, we won (barely) 4-3. We have dudes hurtin' and it was a mess out there. I was stressin'.

Good job, boys! You fought hard. Bring it again tomorrow night. And the next game. And the game after that. And maybe the game after that. We heart you! You deserve cuppies and cookies.

Oh, and Colin Bowman can make a happy little home in my pants. I'm kind of a traitorous whore like that.

Random:

my friend who lives in Hawaii (lucky) is almost home!! TODAY!!! She's in Seattle right now... Errbuddy having dinner tonight. Oh em gee. I haven't seen her since last summer. Srsly.

Millicent is ECSTATIC. :)

Dear Friday, Hurry the hell up.

*This blog entry is a conglomeration of other blog drafts I had from the past four days. Bear with me.

FRIDAY CANNOT GET HERE FAST ENOUGH.

First game of the second round against Kelowna for my behbehs! Soooooo excited! It's gonna be a guaranteed good time. So you should come out and support the behbehs. :)

First off, I just wanna say I ♥ this team. Like mega♥ them. Agreeing with everyone else- the boys have been playing AMAZING lately. They've finally found a groove and it's working. With all the mothereffin' injuries the past few months, they were constantly forced to change things up and they weren't able to find the chemistry they needed and have it stick. But now, we've got most of our men back, with the exception of the Stoklasa, Plouffer, and Dimples trio, and we can finally achieve some sort of equilibrium. Of course, I'm definitely NOT saying we don't miss the Stoky-Fluffy-Dimples bunch (in terms of playing or just in general)... 'cause I know I do and I'm pretty sure you and your mom do, too. They need to eat healing cuppies and get extra hugs so they get better faster and play again. We miss them. We need them. Get better soon, behbehs!!

Anyway, the boys have been playing with everything they've got because, to be honest, Everett was one helluva team to play and they definitely made us work for our wins. I love it. It's good for the guys. Bad for me 'cause I nearly had a heart attack at some of those games, but we don't care about that. I ♥ this team.

Made cookies today (note: technically yesterday). Almond butter sugar cookies, recipe courtesy of "Dave Schultz". Awesome cookies, my dear friends. I may or may not have pics, though. I decorated some of them, but stopped 'cause my hand hurt. I'm kind of a wuss. But I used the fancyschmancy decorating tips with the frosting and schtuff. It's pretty sweet. I'll try to get more done tonight and take pics. :)

Friend texted me. "Come to Portland with me today." WTF. Um, sure, I'd love to go to Portland (haven't been there in FOREVER), but NOW?? Like, this right-this-second? The weather sucks! I've got work tomorrow! And the morning after that! Gah. Srsly? Are you people out of your minds? Maybe it's 'cause they all live at home and need to get away from mom and dad. I dunno. My reasons for not going are legit, so they can suck it.

Have you noticed I haven't dropped one f-bomb, s-bomb, a-bomb, or any-bomb throughout this whole entry???!!! Or at least I'm sure I didn't. I wanted to see if I could do one whole post without swearing like a sailor that just killed his favorite whore. I think I succeeded. Yay!
